The Number 1 Secret To Hitting Your Hybrids Consistently
Are you struggling with your hybrid?
It’s supposed to be the easier club to hit with!
That’s what they are designed to do.
But why are you still struggling with it?
Well, I’m going to show you a simple thing that’s highly likely what you are doing and why you are struggling with your hybrid.
They all say that it is easier to hit with, so we can get more distance, a replacement for a four iron, a five iron or three iron and so on, yet, the ball is just not going up in the air and you are just not sure why?
Today we are focusing on how to make good contact with the ball and that’s probably what‘s missing.
If you saw a video that I recently recorded for you, a tip about making good contact with your irons, well, we are going to work on exactly the same thing.
The same thing with a different club, making it nice and simple.
When you hit with a hybrid the biggest problem that happens and it happens with the woods as well, your fairway woods and so on, the ball scoots along the ground, it’s supposed to get more distance and so on but sometimes you don’t hit it as well as a seven or an eight iron, yet your hybrid is supposed to go much further and it’s just not doing that.
Well, what is happening is that the bottom part of the hybrid is actually hitting the top part of the ball. When you are coming through to hit the ball it’s not actually getting up onto the clubface and therefore the ball is not lifting up into the air.
It could be for a number of reasons, you could be still a bit flicky with your hands, if you are then that’s another reason you are not getting the ball into the air as well.
I’m going to show you a really simple way to improve good contact with your hybrid. We are only working on the short part of the swing, something like the nine to three area, the most important part of the golf swing, making sure we make good contact with the ball,. We’ll work on that and then I want you to go and practice just that, and let me know how you go with it.
Something familiar for you, your left arm and club is nice and straight, nice straight wrist and then all we are going to do is to maintain the triangle, with our left arm, shoulders and right arm and then swing long back and long through. We have done this plenty of times before and we are just going to do the same thing here because we need to make sure we are maintaining a specific position through the ball so we make good contact with the ball.
This is how we are going to do it, setup, long back and long through and then hold out in front. We are going to do the same thing with the ball and the hybrid right now so you can see the ball pop up.
You can see that I’m not trying to add too much to it, keeping the movement really simple because it all about making sure we make really good contact with the ball.
How easy was that?
