How To Get A Consistent Golf Swing With Any Club
How would you like to have a consistent golf swing with each golf club?
Driver, three wood, hybrid, five, six, seven, eight iron and pitching wedge, sand wedge, lob wedge, how would you like to be consistent with everything?
I’m going to show you something really simple that you can apply!
Yes, we are going to be working on creating more consistency with each golf club. I only have to show you with this one, my favourite, my eight iron. When I teach a lot of people, I like to get them to use their eight iron, simply because the club is shorter, it’s easier to use and we can get the feel of the technique.
That’s what we are going to be using, but you can apply it to every golf club that you use. It works for every club.
We are going to work on left shoulder, right shoulder, it’s something really simple, you may have seen it before, another video, golf coach may have told you that, but it is a very simple movement.
What I did with a lovely group of mine when was showing them this one, they know who they are so this is for you girls but, I want you to make sure that you are applying it to your golf game as well.
All we are going to be doing is when we take the golf club back, we are going to look over out left shoulder and when we bring the golf club through we are going to look over our right shoulder. Very simple, right?
When we go back it’s left shoulder, when we come through it’s right shoulder.
Get set, take it nice and easy because you want to get the feel.
Left shoulder, right shoulder.
What did you notice when I was demonstrating? When I went back you could see me looking over my left shoulder and you notice when I was coming through the shot you could see me looking over my right shoulder and then eventually when I came up I could look to where I hit the ball. Take a note of that! Eventually I came up to have a look at the ball.
You have to make sure you are allowing the right shoulder to come in underneath the chin first and then you come up afterwards.
Then what do you notice? You notice that I have opened my body up, the weight is on my left foot, so I have transferred the body weight and it is a very, very, nice, simple swing to do.
The other thing is - timing. Left shoulder, right shoulder, it creates good and easy timing for you which creates rhythm. Rather than feeling that you have to rush the golf swing, if you actually say it to yourself as you do it, left shoulder - right shoulder, then that’s all you need to be doing. Talk yourself through the golf swing.
So, what do you think?
Something really simple?
Left shoulder – right shoulder!
How easy is that?
Now if you are a leftie golfer, it’s going to be right shoulder – left shoulder.
I hope you enjoyed today’s simple tip, Left shoulder – right shoulder, all I want you to do is leave a comment and share with me what you liked best about today, that would be absolutely awesome, and if you have friends that you know will benefit from these videos, I would love it, love it, if you could share them, because we want to build the Lady Golf Teacher community as big as we possibly can.
Have an absolutely awesome day, take care, and remember; Tee it high and Let it fly.
